DESCRIPTION:WRRC’s First Ever Silhouette Shoot!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSATURDAY\, JUNE 22\, 2024 THE UPPER RIFLE RANGE (URR) WILL BE CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT. \nIt’s time to take that old .357 lever action rifle off the wall and bring it out to the range for some silhouette shooting! \nThis short course silhouette shoot is for pistol caliber\, lever action\, iron-sighted rifles. The animal-shaped steel targets are set up at 40\, 50\, 75\, and 100 meters. Standing position only with no support\, one shot per target. Rules are essentially the same as NRA Pistol Caliber Lever Action Silhouette (formerly Cowboy Silhouette)\, although this is not a NRA sanctioned match. See the program for details. \nCome on out and have some fun at the upper rifle range on Saturday\, June 22! Volunteers will work together to clean up the entire range\, including weed removal\, signage installation\, garbage cleanup\, and more. No special skills required\, just wear clothes for working outdoors and gloves. Your sweat equity helps make this a better range for all of our members. \nAfter the cleanup\, we’ll provide a delicious lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers\, with gluten-free options available for those who require them. Lunch will be served at the clubhouse. \nPlease check in at the clubhouse upon arrival for task assignment and volunteer roster. \nFor questions or to volunteer special skills\, please contact gunclub@wenrrc.org with the subject “2024 Range Cleanup”.
